ABOUT

Areas of practice

Research
LIM 56 has a scientific production directed to research on skin diseases and primary and secondary immunodeficiency, as well as experimental models to elucidate pathological mechanisms and promote the development of diagnostic tests and experimental therapies for such diseases.

Teaching
LIM's 56 field of theoretical and practical training for researchers and health professionals involved in the diagnosis and care of dermatological diseases and primary and secondary immunodeficiencies.

Diagnosis
LIM 56 is a specialized laboratory in carrying out diagnostic tests of immunological disorders. We serve patients by primary and secondary immunodeficiencies from clinics and wards of hospitals and call centres from public and private national territory.

The direction of LIM 56 strategically decided to adopt and maintain a quality management system (QMS). The model is based on management by processes, with the evidence-based management. The process approach aims to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the Organization in achieving the objectives defined by it. LIM 56 invests financial resources, human and material for clinical laboratory practices, as well as the safe practices at work are applied in Laboratory routine.

Some of the lines of research of this laboratory are developed in collaboration with leading international research labs, such as the University of Heidelberg (Germany), University of Milan (Italy), University of Aarhus (Denmark), René Descartes University/Necker (Paris), University of Freiburg (Germany) and Johns Hopkins Universty (USA).

EXAMS

  • CD4 and CD8 + CD3-Lymphocyte Subpopulation
