Handbags, bags or similar should be stored in the lockers located at the entrance of the library, and is forbidden to smoke or consume any food or drink inside the library.

The opening hours are from Monday to Friday, from 07 to 18 hours.

Are arranged on the shelves in numerical sequential order. To search the collection, see the Dedalus-bibliographic database of USP. library computers or on any computer with internet access. Access to the collection is free and the call number corresponds to the location on the shelf.

Are arranged on the shelves in alphabetical order, and within each title in chronological order (year of publication, volumes and booklets). The current and non-current periodicals are located in different areas of the acquis.

The loan of the existing material in the library of the Instituto de Medicina Tropical de São Paulo is authorized only to active and inactive teachers of the University of São Paulo, to students enrolled in courses at the University, officials and registered users, as described above.

The loan period for each work is 7 days. Since there is no request, the loan can be renewed as needed by the user.

The interlibrary loan (BSE) is made in the case of non-existing in the acquis. Provide printed request to the user, who undertakes to withdraw and return to work in the library Vendor.

The Instituto de Medicina Tropical de São Paulo has, in the same environment where the library, a photocopy service that works from Monday to Friday, from 08 to 5:00 pm.
